It was a cautious start ahead of a big earnings week

We had several Fed speaking events to kick off the week, but nothing really new.

All eyes are focused on the earnings reports coming.

While lighter on tech, we’ll hear from broader market names this week.

Outside of company-specific performance, we’ll be interested in management takes on the overall business environment and #ConsumerConfidence sentiment.

More so than markets, we’ve seen companies take a more cautious view on the economy-both slowing hiring and reprioritizing investments.

We’re seeing this impact on jobs with the #LaborMarkets weakening.

We’ll hope to see at least signs that the #CorporateBeltTightening is loosening up again going into next year.

The Fed’s #RateCuts are designed to loosen up the business environment, but aren’t instantaneous and will take time to flow through.

We believe a #Goldilocks soft landing will be hard to hit if companies aren’t sharing the same optimism and loosening up spend along with the Fed’s policy changes.
